Secretary of State to Visit with Local Democrats Monday Evening; All Democrats Are Welcome to Attend

May 5, 2004 (Lexington, NC) -- Secretary of State Elaine Marshall will be in Lexington on Monday, May 10 to meet with Davidson County Democrats over dinner. All local Democrats are invited to the dinner meeting, which will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the banquet room behind Whitley's Restaurant at 3664 NC Highway 8 in Lexington.

Marshall will make a presentation on issues affecting the state and Davidson County and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions. This dinner meeting, sponsored by the Democratic Women of Davidson County (DWDC), takes the place of the DWDC's regular monthly meeting.

The cost to attend, which includes dinner, is $15 per person. This is not a fundraiser for Marshall, but simply an opportunity for local Democrats to get to know our Secretary of State better and to hear her perspectives on important issues to our state.
