Education. DWDC is taking the lead on the upkeep
of this website. The site provides a wealth of resources
not
only for Democrats, but for all of Davidson County’s residents.
Democratic Party supporters can donate to the
party
online, sign up for email alerts, and more.
Voter
Registration. DWDC will support the Davidson County Democratic
Party’s voter registration campaign by volunteering at voter
registration tables, etc.
Programs.
At each monthly meeting, we will invite speakers who (1) represent
candidates or the party and (2) can educate our members on becoming
better party activists (e.g. working on voter registration, canvassing,
getting people to the polls, etc.) We will also work with the
county party to host joint events centering on speakers with statewide
interest or appeal.
Candidate
Support/Campaign Involvement. We will strive to
have DWDC members actively involved in supporting Democratic
candidates running for office during election years.
Campaign volunteers will help educate the DWDC membership
on the
candidates
and the issues.
They will also serve as liaisons with the DWDC, letting us know
what the candidates need and how we can help.
Fundraising.
We plan to raise several thousand dollars each year to support
campaigns during election years.
Community
Service. We will support Family Services
of Davidson County by collecting needed items, especially
items
for families with young children, at our monthly meetings.
Membership.
We will continue to grow our membership.
